Best Vegan Ramen Spots in Brisbane
There’s nothing quite like wrapping your hands around a steaming bowl of ramen. It’s the ultimate comfort food: Rich broth, chewy noodles, and a satisfying slurp.
But for vegans, ramen is often off-limits. To help you get your ramen fix, I’ve put together the best spots for vegan ramen of the city I live in - Brisbane. Whether you're craving a rich, creamy tonkotsu-style broth or a spicy tantanmen, the city has plenty of hidden gems waiting to be discovered.
For a broader look at the city's best vegan options, make sure to check out our main Vegan Brisbane Guide.

Neon Ramen

Stepping into Neon Ramen (address) feels like walking into an anime, complete with a pink cherry blossom ceiling and anime character decor on the walls. This restaurant is 100% vegan. They serve customisable ramen, allowing you to build your perfect bowl with a wide range of toppings. My favourite is the Tan Tan broth topped with a crispy katsu cutlet. If you aren't in the mood for soup, they also offer delicious stir-fries and a tempting dessert menu featuring doughnuts and ice cream.

Hai Hai

With locations in both Paddington (address) and West End (address), Hai Hai is a reliable spot for a satisfying vegan meal. Their vegan options include a classic Shoyu (soy sauce) ramen and a Tantan Tofu Mazemen (a soupless style ramen). If you are looking for a bargain, the Paddington store runs a popular $10 ramen deal on Mondays and Tuesdays from 5 pm to 6 pm. Just be prepared to arrive early or queue, as it gets very busy during those hours!

Motto Motto

As a convenient chain with multiple locations around Brisbane, Motto Motto is great for a quick, casual fix. They serve a vegan miso ramen which, while simple, hits the spot with classic toppings like corn, seaweed, and bamboo shoots. It’s a very accessible option for dining out with non-vegan friends. At the time of writing, they run a "buy one, get one free" offer on Mondays if you order through their app.

Danbo Labo

Brought to you by the same creators as Ramen Danbo (which is just located next door to this one), Danbo Labo (address) operates with a unique, evolving menu concept. At the time of writing, the entire menu is vegan. You'll find a vegan Tonkotsu, a Miso Tonkotsu and a Negi-goma (spring onion and sesame) ramen. The broth is quite flavourful, and it comes with toppings like tofu, spring onion and bean sprouts. You can customise your spice level to your liking, and you can add a side of vegan gyoza to complete the meal.

Okuman Karaage & Ramen Bar

Located in the heart of West End, Okuman (address) is a solid choice if you are looking for vegan ramen. They offer two options for vegans: a Shoyu (soy sauce) and a Miso ramen, both served with simple, comforting toppings like tofu, corn, spring onion, and seaweed. If you aren't feeling like noodles, you'll also find options like croquette curry rice and bento boxes.

Taro's Ramen

For vegans, Taro's Ramen offers an option that can be customised with three levels of heat: Classic, Red, and Fire. The broth is creamy and flavourful, and the noodles have that satisfying chewiness. However, their toppings could be a bit more generous. The bowl usually just comes with two small pieces of tofu and some veggies.

Lulu Ramen

Located in Paddington, Lulu Ramen (address) offers a Chintan (clear broth) ramen, and a rich Yuzu Miso Tofu Mazemen (soupless ramen). The portions here are generous, and the noodles have a fantastic texture. The best part? They offer a free ramen noodle top-up, so if you finish your noodles but still have broth left, you can get a refill for free.
