Part of the Premarche group, this "alternative diner" and pizzeria serves meat but all the dishes are vegan by default (marked with a V) with options to change to meat. Burgers like fish burger or Korean BBQ burger are great options for first-time visitors. However, the Japanese mushroom pizza I tried is not my favourite with a relatively average pizza base and a lack of sauce, though the toppings are interesting with a mix of Japanese mushrooms, seaweed and soy sauce.
The same company also runs the ‘Premarche’ gelato shop just a block away, which makes a wide range of vegan gelato that are rich and delicious. I'd highly recommend trying it out if you have a chance. If you dine in the restaurant, you may get a 100-yen discount coupon to use in the gelato shop.
This restaurant is located just about a 10-minute walk from Nijō Castle, making it a decent option for a meal.
