Gomacro is a true gem for vegans who love sesame (like me!). This cozy, relaxing cafe celebrates everything sesame and offers a selection of delicious dishes. Everything is vegan except the use of honey in the eggplant for bibimbap.
You’ll find dishes like tantan ramen and curry rice that highlight the flavours of sesame. The white curry rice set I tried is delicious and comes with a hearty salad. The curry is rich and fragrant, with a generous amount of curry sauce. Even the drinks and desserts include sesame, like the soy milk black sesame pudding, sesame ice cream affogato and sesame chai.
On each table is a basket of sesame condiments, including tahini-like sesame sauce, sesame oil, and sesame salt, allowing you to make your dish even stronger in sesame flavours.
Don’t miss their shop area after your meal to find some sesame goodies, like sesame oil and sesame furikake (a rice topping that often contains fish).
