Cafe Ren is an all-vegan restaurant specialising in Taiwanese cuisine, with a focus on herbal dishes, dim sum and hot pot, all prepared without onion or garlic. I love the vegan eel rice bowl here, which they created a spot-on eel texture using okara (tofu pulp) and seaweed. The set also comes with three small side dishes and a soup.
They have two branches in Kyoto - one near Omiya station and one in the Horikawa area.
