Book and Vege OyOy is a book shop + cafe concept located inside the Shinpuukan shopping centre, which is just next to exit 5 of Karasuma Oike Station.
The food uses fresh, organic seasonal vegetables sourced from small-scale, sustainable farms. On Friday, Saturday and Sunday, you can try the local produce out in the 'Oyoy Vegan Plate'. They also have snacks and desserts like the persimmon tofu pudding I tried. You can also find oat milk latte here which is not common in Japan.
When you are waiting for your order, you can browse their shop for books and groceries, but note that you’re not allowed to take the books to the dining area to read without buying them.
