Located in a small alleyway in Kitano Ijinkan-Gai, Vegan Cafe Kiu is a homey, cozy vegan place offering delicious food with friendly staff. They specialise in a one-plate set meal that changes regularly, typically offering a choice between a curry or a “Kiu Gohan” set, both featuring seasonal vegetables. I tried the latter and all the elements on the plates are well-made and delicious. While the main meals are excellent, the desserts are a true highlight—the warm, fluffy carrot cake and the beautifully presented cheesecake come highly recommended. The cafe is a bit of a walk up a hill, which some may find tricky, but most agree it is well worth the trip.
