Shinsekai Paprika Shokudo is just a short walk away from the famous Tsūtenkaku tower. This vegan cafe serves classic Japanese street food including kushikatsu (deep-fried skewers) and takoyaki (octopus balls). I tried the assorted plate of kushikatsu which includes a delicious variety of skewers of Beyond Meat, vegan cheese, shiitake mushrooms, lotus root, and sweet potato.
The restaurant has both indoor and outdoor seating, and the staff is friendly. If you're lucky, you may also see the two cats that are frequent visitors to this cafe. With its high quality food, friendly staff and proximity to the famous sightseeing spot, Shinsekai Paprika Shokudo is an amazing option if you are in the area.
